Children's Museum of Manhattan
CMOM inspires children and families to learn about themselves and our culturally diverse world through a unique environment of interactive exhibitions and programs. Since opening in a neighborhood storefront in 1973, they’ve grown into a unique 38,000 square-foot learning facility with outreach programs at nearly 50 sites throughout New York City.
World Awareness Children's Museum
The World Awareness Children’s Museum has been a NYS Designated Charter Museum since 1995 with a mission to inspire curiosity and foster understanding and appreciation of worldwide cultural diversity. Its collection is comprised of pieces from 140 countries including 8,000+ artifacts (fashion, musical instruments, dolls, toys and other objects) as well as 7,000+ pieces of international children’s art.
Art and artifacts are featured in the Museum’s hands-on learning space go! where children discover the world. These items are also used in educational programs and loaned to other Museums, businesses and institutions for display.
